Crispy Cheddar Chicken 🧀🍗

This Crispy Cheddar Chicken is coated in buttery Ritz crackers, melty cheddar cheese, and savory seasonings—baked to golden perfection and served with a creamy, flavorful sauce. A family favorite that's easy to make and absolutely delicious!



Ingredients 🛒

For the Chicken:

  • 2 lbs chicken tenders (or 4 large chicken breasts)

  • 2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crushed

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper

  • ½ cup whole milk

  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

For the Sauce:

  • 1 (10 oz) can cream of chicken soup

  • 2 tablespoons sour cream

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions ⏱️

1️⃣ Prep the Ingredients:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • If using chicken breasts, cut each into three large pieces.

  • Crush the Ritz crackers into fine crumbs.

  • Set up three shallow bowls:

    • One with milk

    • One with grated cheddar cheese

    • One with cracker crumbs, salt, and pepper (mixed well)

2️⃣ Coat the Chicken:

  • Dip each chicken piece into the milk, then coat it with cheese (press it in firmly).

  • Next, press the cheese-coated chicken into the cracker crumbs, ensuring an even coating.

3️⃣ Bake to Crispy Perfection:

  • Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and arrange the coated chicken inside.

  • Sprinkle with dried parsley.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.

  • Remove foil and bake for 10-15 more minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.

4️⃣ Make the Creamy Sauce:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and butter.

  • Stir until smooth and heated through.

5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:
