Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cooking sherry
- ½ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Step 1: In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Step 2: Shape the mixture into eight balls, then flatten each into a pancake shape.
Step 3: Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 4: Add vegetable oil to the skillet and allow it to heat up.
Step 5: Add the beef patties and chopped onions to the skillet. Cook each side of the patties for about four minutes or until browned.
Step 6: Transfer the cooked patties to a clean plate.
Step 7: In the same skillet, add all-purpose flour to the onions. Stir well to combine, scraping the bottom of the pan to loosen any browned bits.
Step 8: Pour in the cooking sherry, beef broth, and salt. Allow the mixture to simmer for about five minutes or until thickened.
Step 9: Reduce the heat to low and return the beef patties to the skillet.
Step 10: Cover the skillet and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 11: Remove the skillet from the heat.
