Straight from my great-grandma’s recipe box, this frozen twist on the traditional marshmallow fruit salad brings an extra layer of fun by turning it into a frozen delight.

Perfect for special occasions or as a light and icy dessert during the summer, this recipe has stood the test of time and remains a staple at our family gatherings. Aunt Jenny has taken up the tradition, ensuring this frozen fruit salad graces our table every Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups of whipped topping, with additional for serving
  • 1 quart strawberries, diced
  • 2 large bananas, chopped and diced
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with the diced strawberries.
  2. Gently fold in the crushed pineapple, diced bananas, and whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly in a 9×13 baking pan.
  4. Place the pan in the freezer until the dessert solidifies.
  5. When ready to serve, allow it to sit on the counter for 10 minutes. Dip a knife into hot water to cut through the frozen dessert.
